You’re not dumb! You already know you’re a procrastinator, so why don’t you find a way to deal with it. Most of the successful and smart people I’ve met in my life were not natural geniuses. They were just organized and time conscious. Think about it!

  • OptimumTamerX:

no no no im the Master Procrastinator.

I still don’t know how i graduated elementary, middle, and high school.

being a teachers pet served me all my life. but now im in college and im failing. i have a 1.9 ish gpa. im probably gonna get kicked out next week. im dumb as hell.

  • alanckaye:

it looks weird if you don’t understand EFT. It works so if you don’t understand it – don’t knock it. Those of you making fun of it probably need it more than anyone else.

I’ve been procrastinating on clearing some clutter for months now, and the pile of crap taunts me every day. I tapped along with the video and do feel a little better about myself. Thanks.
Maybe now I can find the energy to face the task.

  • peterthesongman:

    WTF

  • DaveDoggOwns:

That silent resistence is not a response to the “tyranny of your own self-determination”, it is a response to the tyrannies of college papers, work, chores, etc imposed by those in authority (teachers, bosses, parents, etc).

Procrastination doesn’t come from being a scatterbrain, it comes into being by being forced into a shoddy relationship. Procrastination comes from relationships, not a faulty brain.

  • Cameigons:

Or when you have task(job, college, or whatever) that, though likely to pay off in the end, is incredibly boring, difficult, will take lots of your energy and fill most of your days during a whole year… So procrastination is like a silent resistance rising within you against the tyranny of your own self-determination which is sacrificing your own satisfaction of everyday life.
So this is the kind of conflicting feelings that the woman is the video talks about.

  • Cameigons:

I know what you mean… and sorry for my post, though I do disagree with you I was sort of taunting you to see if you would come back here to post an answer :p
What you say can be called procrastination too, but the real complicated kind is when you’re postponing on something that you really have to do but for not only merely out of shrewish parents . For example when you have a paying job that you hate but from which you can’t quit.. and feel that it’s taking valuable time from you..
