(PRWEB) January 31, 2012
As a weight loss coach, Paul Johnson, of Quality Diet Drops, is always on the lookout for new information in his field. Recently, he discovered interesting research on this subject: a study led by John Gunstad, an assistant professor of psychology at Kent State University, which suggests weight loss leads to improved concentration and memory.
Gunstad tested attention and memory of 150 overweight people. Then 109 of those people lost a large amount of weight. Twelve weeks later, Gunstad tested all 150 of them again. The Federal Government should lead in establishing an environment of reality and acceptance of treatment without the ignorant stigma of shame. Mental problems are just as legitimate as a cut needing stitches or a heart attack. Yet people who seek help for a psychological problem are still looked upon as flawed and blamed for not being able to handle their own problems.
